Region:
Macedo de Cavaleiros, Trás-os-Montes.
Soil: Schist origin, with medium clay content and presence of quartz
Climate: Temperate with continental characteristics.
Vinification: Manual harvesting by grape variety. Hand-picking of the bunches. Light crushing of the berries followed by gentle pressing. Skin maceration exclusively for Riesling. Static clarification, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats followed by ageing on fine lees until the end of March. Blend formation. Light filtration before bottling.
Grape varieties: Unusual combination of the Alsatian grape varieties Riesling and Gewürztraminer with Malvasia Fina from Trás-os-Montes.
Colour: Bright citrine.
Aroma: Very elegant, combining intensity and complexity. Floral (rose petals) and tropical (pineapple, mango) aromas stand out, followed by citrus fruit aromas (lemon and grapefruit). Slight mineral notes add delicacy to the blend.
Palate: Dry. Creamy attack with a fine, balanced acidity that gives the wine excellent freshness. Good mouthfeel. Persistent finish. Very gastronomic profile.
