Region:
Macedo de Cavaleiros, Trás-os-Montes.
Soil: Schist origin, with medium clay content and the presence of quartz.
Climate: Temperate with continental characteristics.
Vinification: Manual harvesting by variety, respecting the ripening period. Total destemming, fermentation with moderate temperature control and daily pumping over. Long post-fermentation maceration. Aged in oak barrels for 16 months. Wine not filtered or cold stabilised. May create a deposit.
Varieties: A combination of different plots, predominantly Touriga Nacional 15%, Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Tinta Amarela 20% and Tinta Roriz 15%.
Colour: Very intense cherry red with slight violet reflections.
Aroma: Intense and elegant with excellent complexity. Very ripe red and black forest fruits stand out, well combined with light floral notes that add elegance. Spices such as vanilla and chilli flavour the aroma.
Palate: Very soft on the palate. Full-bodied wine with fine, silky tannins well enveloped by the fruit that give it a good structure. Persistent finish. Terroir wine.
Consumption: It should be enjoyed at a temperature of between 16ºC and 18ºC, ideally in a Bordeaux glass. Goes well with well-seasoned red meat dishes, feathered game and mature sheep's cheeses.
Ageing potential: until 2033.

Production (bottles): 62,200 grams of 0.75 litres & 524 grams of 1.5 litres.
