Valle Pradinhos The Lost Corner 2010

Valle Pradinhos The Lost Corner 2010

Region: Macedo de Cavaleiros, Trás-os-Montes.

Soil: Schist origin, with medium clay content and the presence of quartz.

Climate: Temperate with continental characteristics.

Vinification: Rigorous selection of the bunches. Total destemming, followed by pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation with moderate temperature control and gentle daily manual pumping over. Long post-fermentation maceration. Aged in 500 litre oak barrels for 19 months. Wine not filtered or cold stabilised. May create a deposit.

Grape varieties: Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz (Tempranilho) and Touriga Nacional.

Colour: Very intense red.

Aroma: Intense with complexity and aromatic subtlety. Wild berries, red stone fruits and floral aromas stand out. Notes of coffee, chocolate and tobacco add even more elegance to the blend.

Palate: Wine with a balanced acidity that gives it elegance and lightness. Fine, soft tannins well enveloped by the fruit make this wine have a persistent, greedy finish.

Consumption: It should be enjoyed at a temperature of between 16ºC and 18ºC. Goes well with well-seasoned red meat dishes and aged sheep's milk cheeses. We recommend decanting.

Ageing potential: until 2025.

Total acidity: 5.2 g/l tartaric acid
