Garrafa The Lost Corner

Valle Pradinhos The Lost Corner 2017

Region: Macedo de Cavaleiros, Trás-os-Montes.

Soil: Schist origin, with medium clay content and the presence of quartz.

Climate: Temperate with continental characteristics.

Vinification: Manual harvesting. Rigorous manual selection of the bunches. Total destemming, followed by pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation with moderate temperature control and gentle daily manual pumping over. Long post-fermentation maceration. Aged in 500 litre French oak barrels for 20 months. Wine not filtered or cold stabilised. May create a deposit.

Grape varieties: Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional.

Colour: Ruby red.

Aroma: Elegant, complex, lively and subtle. Fresh wild red berries, flowers, aromatic herbs and spices stand out.

Palate: Wine with a balanced acidity that gives it elegance and lightness. Fine, silky tannins well enveloped by the fruit make this wine have a persistent, balanced finish.
